I have not done a very good job of keep up with my goal of blogging more. So, since I have had a very productive day today, I figure I will use the last few minutes of my day to update all my followers (all 4 of you!) on my house search!
I found and fell in love with a little one bedroom (with a den) bungalow in Oakton. I put an offer, $11,000 less then the offering price and was told thanks, but no thanks. I was thinking I was willing to pay full price, but decided to hold off and wait a little longer. If it was meant to be it would still be for sale! Well, a condo in the same building just went on the market (Short Sale) for $21,000 less then the original--$10,000 less then my offer. I thought, this must be too good to be true. So, Brian and I went to check it out and he warned me of the big ass dog inside (his words!). His thoughts--ripped up carpet, smell, etc. My thoughts--attacked by said dog while trying to view place, etc.
Anyways...all was well at the place. Definitely a mixture of smells between boy and dog. Needs new carpet, paint and professional cleaning (possibly twice). But, all in all I loved it! So, I will be making an offer (tonight at 5:30!). However, since this is a short sale, we will see how this goes.
More to come! But, while we wait to see what the verdict is...take a looky-loo at the condo website: http://www.thefourwindsatoakton.com/ The floor plan I am looking at is called the Windsong.
Let me know what you think!

I love the sunroom, walk in closet, and patio! Does it have a fireplace? and does the community have a private pool? Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteand you are right about not blogging enough!
I loved the sun room too! The big closet is kind of weird at first (the washer/dryer are in there) but, the more I think about it its a good space. Lots of storage so that is nice! It has a wood burning fireplace and a pool. It also has a walking path through the community and looks like lots of dogs (i saw a sign for yappy hour!)
