text message etiquette

I received one of those annoying text messages the other night.

random caller: Hey! Who is this? You are in my phone and I don't know who you are?

Usually I ignore these callers. However, sitting in the parking lot after the Tim McGraw show, I was feeling a little feisty. So, I had Amanda respond with this:

Me: Well, I don't know who you are either. So, Just delete me. :)

You would think the conversation would end with that, however, it did not. It continued with this:

Random caller: Ok, sorry to bother you so late.

Me: No prob. Have a good night.

Random caller: You too!

Here are my questions. Who has "random numbers" in their phone that are not attached to someone!?

and WHO doesn't just delete that number. I mean seriously. Clearly you haven't called me ... ever, why start now?!

Right?!

When you think Tim McGraw

So, basically it was a rainy yucky concert day. Amanda and I got to the show and upgraded our tickets from the lawn to the pavilion. We noticed we were in section 201 and were pretty pumped by our luck. We found our seats (back row of section 201), went to the bathroom, found the first aid stand, went to the bathroom again and then got Italian Ice.

The Band Perry played. Amazing.

Luke Bryan played. Amazing X10!

Then, we waited patiently, read all the text messages people were sending into the big screen, discussed fun and new technology, and waited some more. The girls in front of us got pizza and I got a little jealous, but then got over it. It was a really nice night. A little humid, but still nice.

Then...the stage got dark and the music began. The girls in front of us were looking for their parents so they kept looking back. The music continued, but no Tim McGraw, more music, girls keep looking back. Then all of a sudden one of the girls in front of us screamed like she saw Tim McGraw and sure enough she did. So, we turn around and there he was, surrounded by security. He stopped right in front of us. Started with the lady to my left and then worked his way to ME and AMANDA and then continued on!!! I literally was in shock and all I could do was stick my hand out and he grabbed it!! Thank God I was able to lift my hand! He is so skinny. Hollywood has really gotten to him. He must be on the soup diet.

He walked to the middle of the pavilion and stopped and sang two songs from the middle of the pavilion in section 303ish. Then he walked up to the stage singing 1-2-3 like a bird I sing...then he pulled a little girl on stage and she sang with him. cutest.thing.ever!

The entire night was amazing. I literally can't stop thinking about all the little things that happened.

Luke Bryan singing Tim McGraw by Taylor Swift might have been the icing on the cake!

But when you think Tim McGraw

I hope you think my favorite song

The one we danced to all night long

The moon like a spotlight on the lake

When you think happiness

I hope you think that little black dress

Think of my head on your chest

And my old faded blue jeans

When you think Tim McGraw

I hope you think of me

He put on the best show I have ever seen from him, and he is now my favorite concert ever. It was the last show of the tour and it was the best show in my book. Jiffy Lube was packed. I have never seen it as crowded as it was last night. So, everyone boycotting Jiffy Lube has been replaced.

On a side note, the parking lot was super easy to get into, but same old crap to get out.

In Love With Tim McGraw!!! XOXO

Nick Lachey and the curly W

I always loved Nick, I loved Nick & Jessica, now I love Nick & Vanessa, and now I love Nick wearing the curly W hat.

The best part is that The Washington Post says, "...is wearing a Curly W hat. No idea why." Who cares, as long as he is wearing it and I see him at Nat's Stadium pronto!
