The Zoo
Today, we went to the zoo. It was so hot and really crowded. Marlee saw the panda, but I had a hard time seeing it. I felt like I was looking at one of those pictures that the image is hidden and one person can see it, and they just say there it is, right there, can't you see it ... I think I might have seen it !?!?! anyways...we saw elephants, the baby lions cubs, a tiger, a komodo dragon and this....

Peep Sushi!
Love This! Found this from Serious Eats and just love the idea!! Find it here: http://bit.ly/ayyE70
As someone without kids, I think this would be super fun to do with kids...however, I know this is probably a project one would have to be super mom to pull this off with kids!! but who doesn't love rice krispy treats and peeps!!
6 Peeps per roll, 1 Peep per handroll, 1 Peep per nigiri1 box of Rice Krispies Treats
1 box of Fruit by the Foot
Step 1: Slice off six 3/16th inch slices lengthwise from a Rice Krispies Treat (Please don't kill yourself trying to get exactly 3/16 inches. There are more important things to worry about, like beheading Peeps!).
Step 2: This may be hard for several reasons! But, execute six Peeps of your color choice by decapitation. Cut off more neck than you think is appropriate. If necessary, you can trim off more later.
Step 4: Flatten and elongate the Rice Krispies Treat slice slightly and shape it into a hollow circle. It's okay if it breaks, just mold it back together again.
Step 5: Take a Peep head and tuck it into the top of the hollow Rice Krispies treat cylinder. Use a toothpick or tip of the a knife to help get it snug.

Step 6: Wrap the Fruit by the Foot strip around your roll. Some folding and nipping may be necessary to get the cleanest look.
Step 7: Serve at room temperature.

Happy Easter!!
XOXO

Hey, It's OK!
Hey, It's OK! (inspired by Glamour Magazine.)
1. to read Glamour at work one afternoon. 2. to have Taylor Swift on your ipod all day! 3. to cry at the daddy episode of Hannah Montana Forever. 4. to never trust a blind date. 5. to tell a kid there might actually be a monster in their closet (despicable me reference anyone!)! 6. to make a wish at every eyelash, 11:11, falling leaf and shooting star! 7. to fall for the guy with a girlfriend because you know he won't get close enough to break your heart!
