What an adorable little girl! Only Jen's child would be rocking those white Uggs and texting at one week old! Give her a few weeks before she has on pearls and heels! 

I was so excited to be asked to be a God Mother that I didn't even have to think about it. Yes. Absolutely. No questions asked. Now that she is here, I started asking myself what my role in her life will be. Of course I will be a great role model! But, what else do I need to do as a God Mother. So, I got to googling and discovered that my role is to be “a trustworthy witness of the faith who will help the godchild attain salvation”. done. I am on it.

Rainy Days

This morning I woke up to a crazy rain storm. It was like a summer storm, in January! I was about to leave when I heard the biggest thunder clap and the rain was literally coming down in buckets. I decided to hold off for a few minutes to see if it would slow down and finally just made a run for it. Luckily, I had parked in the garage, so I didn't have too far to go. 

It was a rough drive. Wouldn't have been too bad, except for all the SUV's driving like manics and passing me while splashing puddles of water onto my car. I made it to work only for the rain to be coming down just as hard as it was when I left. I had an umbrella, but I don't know how much good it really did. The rain was so heavy my poor umbrella could barely stay up. I ran into the building and walked to my back office dripping wet. 

I wish I looked this cute while I was walking in the rain, alas I know I was a hot mess!

A different kind of cupcake!

Tonight I got crafty. I saw a baby onesie cupcake tutorial on pinterest and decided I needed to make it. Since Jen told me about baby Hope in the cupcake aisle at Target, I knew my "welcome to the world, Hope" present needed to be cupcake themed. (I'm pretty sure Jen has forgotten about this blog, so I can count on it still being a surprise!)

"I'm taking some time to focus on me"

I freaking hate it when people say: "It's time I take some time to focus on me for once". I'm going to go out on a limb and say the world needs a few more people who are not "taking time to focus on themselves". I am so sick of selfish, self-centered people who are only out for themselves. There are far too many people who think they are the most important person on the planet and whatever they want goes.

I am also going to say that these people who say they are taking the time for themselves "for once" have pretty much been focusing on themselves for their entire lives and they just want to world to focus on them "for once"

Tonight's crafty project

Tonight's crafty project was to add a fancy ribbon to my new fancy mirror! I found the fancy mirror at the antique store by Jen's house and the fancy ribbon I got with a 50% off coupon at AC Moore. Things were looking up for the start of the project.

I was a little worried about getting it even and making the bow just right but with Amanda's help, all went well and I'm kind of obsessed with it!!!

I love this commercial so much. What a creative dad! 

Jen and Buddy are doing this for Hope. Such a fun idea. I can't wait to send her pictures and videos of her childhood!! :)
